Studdard, Katrina

Welcome to My Class!

I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Katrina Studdard and I am from Georgia. I have lived in six U.S. states and one foreign country. I have visited 38 U.S. states and five foreign countries. Most of this traveling was largely in part to my husband’s U.S. Air Force service.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Roger, for a long time. Our daughter, Kimberly, lives in Headland, Alabama with her husband and my three, amazing grandchildren. Luke is 10, bright, and loves lobsters and Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker Suite.”  Lily is 8, active, and loves gymnastics. Lake is almost 4 and never slows down. Our son, Andrew, is attending college here in Birmingham.

My professional experience includes 19+ years  in preschool, kindergarten, first and fourth grades. This is my 3rd year at McAdory. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a Masters with a focus on Reading.

My hobbies include arts and craft and reading. I also enjoy having a good meal with family or friends. My favorite color is green and I prefer sweets to salty.

Family and education are very important to me. I believe family is the foundation on which learning is built. The stronger the foundation, the easier it is to construct knowledge. This year I look forward to working with you and your child in his/her academic adventure.
